We are supporting the delivery of Milton Place, a new residential development on the site of a former town centre car park in Gravesend, providing Quantity Surveying, Employer’s Agent, and Clerk of Works services on behalf of Gravesham Community Investment Partnership (GCIP).
GCIP is a joint venture between Gravesham Borough Council and Hill, established to deliver high-quality housing and investment in the borough. The Principal Contractor is Hill Partnerships Ltd, operating under a JCT Design and Build 2016 contract.

The Development
Milton Place will deliver 76 new homes across two tenures, 61 social rent homes for residents aged 55 and over, and 15 private sale homes ranging from one to four bedrooms. The social rent homes include wheelchair-accessible M4(3) units, ensuring the scheme meets the needs of residents with varying mobility requirements.
The site, formerly used as a town centre car park, represents an important opportunity to make productive use of underutilised land and increase the supply of genuinely affordable housing for older residents in Gravesend.

Our Role
We are appointed as Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent, Investment Partnership Supervisor and Clerk of Works, providing services from pre-contract through to completion.
Our team works closely with the wider consultant team, including architect Clague, civil and structural engineer IESIS, landscape architect IDP, and fire consultant Affinity Fire, to support the client in managing cost, quality, and contract compliance throughout the programme.
Our Quantity Surveying role supports cost management and financial reporting.
As Employer’s Agent, we act in the client’s interest in administering the JCT Design and Build contract, certify valuations, manage change, and maintain oversight of the contractor’s obligations.
Our Clerk of Works provides on-site quality assurance throughout construction.
Planning permission was granted in December 2025, and construction is now underway. Forecast completion is April 2028.
