The Secretary of State has approved plans for the Sky Studios Elstree North expansion.

The development will deliver 10 new sound stages and 210,000 sq ft of Tier 1 production space, taking the site to 22 stages across 65 acres and a total of 470,000 sq ft. It will also create around 600 jobs, further strengthening the UK’s position as a global hub for film and TV production.

The project will also include £6.5 million in local road improvements, a new community green, and the protection of 27 acres of land for wildlife.
