We’re delighted to congratulate Sam Murphy, who is celebrating 5 years with Potter Raper!

Sam joined Potter Raper in September 2021 as a Quantity Surveyor, based at our Beckenham office. Alongside his role, he has combined work with part-time study, graduating from university this summer.

Much of Sam’s work is in residential construction, covering both refurbishment and new build projects, from small residential schemes through to larger new build developments. He has also gained experience in the commercial sector, broadening his knowledge across the industry and strengthening his ability to support projects at every stage, from pre-contract through to post-contract.

Over his 5 years with Potter Raper, Sam has:

• Worked on a wide range of refurbishment and new build projects, from small residential schemes to larger new build developments
• Gained experience across both pre and post contract phases
• Developed skills in measurement and cost planning, contracts, life cycle costing and financial reporting to clients
• Extended his expertise from residential into the commercial sector
• Provided a full day to day Quantity Surveying service, supporting senior colleagues and maintaining direct client contact on Quantity Surveying matters
• Combined his role with part-time study, graduating from university this summer

Sam’s dedication, professionalism and growing expertise make him a valued member of the Potter Raper team. We are proud to celebrate his achievements and continued development over the past 5 years.
