Works are complete for the re-building of Harlow Bandstand in Harlow Town Park, where we are providing Quantity Surveying and Project Management services on behalf of Harlow District Council with Hill Partnerships appointed as principal contractor. The replacement bandstand was thoughtfully designed by Architects Allies & Morrison, with Webb Yates as Structural and MEP designers.

About the project

The original bandstand has been replaced with a new permanent outdoor performance venue for the town of Harlow. The scheme includes:

• A new stage structure with associated brickwork and roof
• Back of house facilities including changing rooms, a kitchenette and storage
• Audio-visual and electrical installations
• External landscaping, drainage and tree planting

Latest progress

The original bandstand, which burnt down after a devastating fire, has now been replaced with a new iconic structure designed to serve as a permanent outdoor performance venue for the town. The scheme involved close coordination across all workstreams, with the team working to a tight programme to achieve handover ahead of planned summer events at the park.
