This month, we are reflecting on the ways our work has made a real difference to people’s lives through the everyday commitment of our teams across every project.
Keeping people safe in their homes
Building safety is one of the most direct ways we can make a meaningful difference. Our Fire Safety and Building Surveying teams continue to support clients in meeting their obligations under the Building Safety Act 2025 while giving residents the reassurance they deserve.
For the Royal Borough of Greenwich, we submitted comprehensive Building Safety Cases for 67 high-rise residential buildings. This included detailed fire risk assessments, resident engagement, and acting as the client’s representative with the Building Safety Regulator, helping provide residents with clear evidence that their homes are safe.
At Coopers Road Estate in Southwark, we oversaw the removal of unsafe timber cladding and reinstatement of fire protection systems while maintaining safe pedestrian routes and minimising disruption to residents throughout the works.
At UCL’s Astor College, our team managed the emergency remediation of 638 fire doors in just seven weeks, ensuring students could move safely into their accommodation ahead of the new academic year.

Supporting vulnerable people
At Highgate Road in Camden, we are supporting the delivery of five wheelchair-accessible assisted living units as part of a Section 106 scheme for Places for People. Designed with communal facilities, shared living spaces, and assisted bathrooms, these homes will provide safe and supported accommodation for some of Camden’s most vulnerable residents.

Going beyond the contract
Our teams regularly look for ways to support the communities around our projects.
At the Helix Schemes in Hounslow, we worked with the contractor and client to enhance the pond area of a neighbouring primary school, a small change that made a meaningful difference to pupils and staff. Our involvement in the Helix Park regeneration has also included supporting the Newcastle Football Foundation through fundraising and charity events, helping invest in the local community alongside the wider redevelopment works.
At John Barker Place in Hitchin, the contractor organised a community skip day and repainted nearby garage doors to help residents settle into their new retirement and affordable homes while improving the surrounding area.
