We’re delighted to congratulate Mitzi Watt, who is celebrating 5 years with Potter Raper!

Mitzi is an Associate Director and Head of Sustainability based in our Beckenham office, having joined us in June 2021. In 2025, she progressed to Associate Director, a reflection of her significant contribution to the business and the growing importance of sustainability across our project portfolio.

A qualified Passivhaus Consultant and BREEAM Assessor, Mitzi brings 15 years of industry experience to her role. Her work spans residential, retail, educational, healthcare, university, and hotel sectors, delivering sustainability services from inception through to completion and in-use stages. Mitzi works across a wide range of project types, from singular dwellings to 600+ unit mixed-use schemes, keeping sustainability central to the project brief and budget throughout.

Since joining Potter Raper in 2021, Mitzi has played a key role in strengthening and expanding the company’s sustainability offering. Her work includes leading sustainability strategies across a diverse range of projects and supporting both clients and design teams in delivering practical, compliant and future-focused solutions.

Over the past five years, Mitzi has:

• Led sustainability across our diverse project portfolio, progressed from Head of Sustainability to Associate Director.
• Delivered a full range of sustainability services including energy reports, overheating analyses, daylight, sunlight and overshadowing assessments, whole life carbon assessments, circular economy statements, and sustainability statements for planning.
• Acted as BREEAM Assessor on projects through to post-construction certification, including office buildings, retail units and schools.
• Led Passivhaus assessments and overseen energy modelling using Elmhurst and PHPP, reviewing outputs from a technical, feasibility and cost perspective.
• Overseen PAS2035 delivery across projects, including programme reviews, assessment coordination, design reviews and liaison with project teams to manage planning requirements, design implications and the long-term impact of energy efficiency measures, including overheating risk.
• Developed decarbonisation strategies across a range of developments, helping clients improve building performance and reduce operational carbon emissions.

Mitzi’s expertise, leadership and collaborative approach continue to make a significant impact across our projects and wider business.
