Project update: Ashingdon Road, Rochford Phase 2

Handovers are continuing at Ashingdon Road, Rochford Phase 2, where Potter Raper is providing Employer’s Agent services for Eastlight Community Homes. The scheme is being delivered by Bloor Homes under a Development Agreement.

About the project

This phase of the development comprises 47 affordable homes. Homes range from one-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom houses, delivered across Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership tenures. The scheme forms part of the wider Bloor Homes masterplan, with planning permission granted in 2022 and 2024.

Latest progress

Plots 241-249 are currently being prepared for handover in mid-June with Plots 357-366 at the end of June 2026. The last tranche, Plots 341-346, are being targeted for handover in October 2026.

NHBC Building Control has been visiting regularly, with the site achieving a score of 4.88. Snagging is under way ahead of each handover, with our Employer’s Agents working closely with Eastlight’s Clerk of Works to ensure all units meet specification before keys are released.

Our role

As Employer’s Agent, we manage contract communications, review monthly valuations, attend site meetings and coordinate the handover process to support a smooth and compliant delivery.
