Handovers are currently underway at Stocks Lane (Myleswood), part of the wider residential development in Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood, delivering high-quality affordable homes for Home Group.
Earlier this week, plots 34-41 were successfully handed over, with a further nine plots scheduled for completion before 31st March.
The wider development comprises two neighbouring sites:
- Stocks Lane (Myleswood)
- Blackmore Road (Brizes Corner) – which was handed over in December 2025.
Together, the schemes provide 56 residential dwellings for Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership, helping to deliver much-needed housing in the Brentwood area.
Construction Progress
Current works onsite include:
- Superstructure completion and roofing
- Internal first and second fix installations
- Landscaping and highways preparation
- Final external façade works
Our Role
We are proud to support these projects as Quantity Surveyor, Employer’s Agent, and Clerk of Works, working alongside Stonebond Properties under a JCT 2016 Design & Build contract.
Stocks Lane (Myleswood)

The development incorporates several sustainability measures including:
- Electric vehicle charging points provided to every home
- Native planting to enhance biodiversity and support long-term landscape sustainability
Our involvement
During the pre-construction stage, we undertook a comprehensive gap analysis between the developer’s specification and Home Group’s Employer’s Requirements, identifying and resolving potential omissions before construction commenced.
Our Clerk of Works maintained regular site inspections throughout the build, helping ensure compliance with specification requirements while safeguarding programme delivery and funding deadlines.
To support site operations and programme delivery, temporary use of neighbouring land was arranged by the contractor to assist with site welfare and access logistics, helping facilitate efficient construction sequencing and timely handovers.
Blackmore Road (Myleswood Brizes Corner)
24 residential dwellings for Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership, including associated landscaping and highways works.
The scheme includes:
- Electric vehicle charging points provided to every property, supporting the transition to low-emission transport.
Our involvement
Our team provided continuous technical and site oversight from pre-contract through to construction. By carefully reviewing design information and monitoring progress on site, we ensured the development met Home Group’s Employer’s Requirements, planning obligations, and quality standards throughout the build.
The Blackmore Road site was successfully handed over in December 2025, marking an important milestone in the delivery of the wider Myleswood and Brizes Corner development.
Once complete, the development will provide a high-quality and sustainable residential environment, delivering much-needed affordable homes for the Brentwood community.
