Project Summary

A new 4 storey building discreetly located in woodland adjacent to the old hospital buildings it replaces. This new NHS hospital provides circa 11,500 sq m world-class facilities for the planned care of NHS and private patients.

The hospital specialises in planned, non-emergency surgery and has 48 inpatient beds, 22 day case procedure rooms or ‘pods’, 6 state-of-the-art operating theatres, radiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as outpatient and diagnostic facilities.

Private beds are located on the top floor of the hospital. They are arranged so that you can take advantage of the beauty of the surrounding landscape and enjoy the woodland setting with views of the treetops and the surrounding flora and fauna. The project includes a robust sustainable drainage system (SUDS) under the car park and rainwater from the roof drains into a balancing pond to prevent flooding and protect local wildlife. The new hospital is part of a development which also includes a 4,000 sq m administration wing and a GP hub, located next to the staff car park and hospital entrance. 450 parking spaces are provided on site.
