Congratulations to Stephen Medhurst, Associate Director and Quantity Surveyor in our Cambridge office, on his appointment as Deputy Chair of The Housing Forum’s Futures Network 2026/27.
Stephen has over 10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor across the public and private sectors, delivering educational, commercial and residential projects for clients ranging from private homeowners to local authorities. His portfolio spans everything from a small modular nursery building to complex multi-block developments, including partnership schemes delivered jointly with developers and housing associations.
At Potter Raper, Stephen’s work focuses on cost control for the construction of houses and flats for local authorities and developers. He provides a full range of pre- and post-contract services, from detailed cost plans and value for money reports through to ongoing financial management throughout the duration of the project. His role allows him to combine robust financial oversight with an understanding of how sustainable considerations can affect project costs.
We are proud to see Stephen’s expertise recognised at sector level, and we look forward to the leadership and support he will bring to this year’s Future Network cohort as they begin their development journey with The Housing Forum.
