Social value in action: L&Q residents enjoy a day trip to Brighton

Over 100 residents from L&Q Living schemes swapped their sheltered accommodation in Bexleyheath for a day by the sea, thanks to support from Major Works Investment Programme (MWIP) partners.

L&Q Living supports vulnerable residents, including older people and those with mental health needs or learning disabilities. The trip gave residents the chance to socialise, connect, and enjoy some sunshine, with time on the beach, fish and chips, and a stroll along Brighton Pier.

This was the third trip organised through the partnership, following previous visits to Southend and Margate, and reflects the commitment to social value that runs throughout the MWIP.

Potter Raper has acted as Independent Partnering Advisor to the MWIP since 2024, working across the partnership’s ten delivery partners to support governance, performance and social value delivery on behalf of residents.
