Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 may be coming to a close, but the conversation, and the support, should continue all year round.
This year’s theme, Take Action, encouraged people to turn awareness into meaningful steps that support wellbeing in everyday life. At Potter Raper, we used the week as an opportunity to share practical tools, guidance and resources to help our staff look after their mental health both inside and outside the workplace.
Supporting wellbeing throughout the week
Throughout the week, we shared a range of resources designed to help our people better understand mental health, look after their own wellbeing, and support others who may be struggling. These included:
- Practical tips for managing stress and protecting mental wellbeing
- Guidance on recognising signs that someone may be struggling
- Charities, podcasts, videos and wellbeing resources
- Information about our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), a confidential service offering support with personal or professional challenges
Mental health affects everyone differently, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing. Whether someone is feeling positive and balanced or going through a more difficult period, having access to the right support and information can make a real difference.
Creating a supportive workplace culture
As an Employee Owned Trust (EOT) company, the wellbeing of our people remains a key priority. We are committed to creating an open, supportive workplace where staff feel listened to and able to access help when needed.
Alongside the resources shared this week, our trained Mental Health First Aiders continue to offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for colleagues seeking support or guidance.
Continuing the conversation
Mental Health Awareness Week shines a spotlight on wellbeing, but supporting mental health is something that should continue every day of the year. Small actions, open conversations and access to the right support all play an important role in helping people feel supported at work.
