A step forward for community services in Bromley
Work at the Blenheim Children and Family Centre is progressing, with the project currently at RIBA Stage 3/4 as part of our appointment covering RIBA Stages 1 to 7 for the London Borough of Bromley.
The project involves the extension of the existing centre to accommodate the relocation of the Age Concern facility from the Saxon Centre in Orpington town centre. The proposals aim to optimise the use of the Blenheim site while supporting a revised operational model and providing a more secure, fit-for-purpose environment for service users.
Project Brief
We have been commissioned to design an extension that enables the co-location of children, family and age Concern services. The design approach maximises the potential of the existing site, ensuring the facility can support a broader range of community needs while remaining efficient, accessible and adaptable.
Our Role
We are supporting the Blenheim Children and Family Centre project through:
- Architectural Services
- Design delivery across RIBA Stages 1 to 7
- Thoughtful site optimisation to support a revised operational model
- Coordinated design solutions aligned with planning and regulatory requirements
- Design development aligned with planning, Building Control and tender processes
Looking Ahead
Once delivered, the extended centre will provide improved facilities for children, families and older residents, supporting the long-term provision of essential community services in Bromley.
