Mulberry Academy London Dock Secondary School wins prestigious 2024 Brick Award!

We’re thrilled to announce that Mulberry Academy London Dock Secondary School has won the prestigious 2024 Brick Award in the Education category! We acted as the Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor, Clerk of Works, and Party Wall Surveyor on behalf of our client, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The project involved constructing a new five-storey, L-shaped secondary school, which includes car parking, utilities, a sports hall, and a games space in the basement, with the games space roof ingeniously forming part of the playground above.

The judges praised the school’s design, stating:

“𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.”

Congratulations to all those involved who supported the vision and quality that made this award possible. Mulberry Academy London Dock is not only a beautiful, sustainable building – it’s a valuable asset to the community, providing first-class education and facilities for generations to come.
