Potter Raper Partnership         fits the bill...

The Lumen

Construction has started on the flagship office building, The Lumen, at Newcastle Helix (formerly known as Science Central).

Potter Raper were delighted to attend the ground breaking Ceremony for this flagship office building, held on 27th July 2018. This Ceremony marks the major milestone as the largest City Centre office building, with private sector funding, to be constructed in the last decade.

The Lumen, which is a 108,000sq ft eight-storey Grade A office building, is the first phase of the Newcastle Helix development, a £350 million regeneration project. Newcastle Helix is being delivered in partnership between Newcastle City Council, Newcastle University and Legal & General.

Potter Raper (Simon Daniels, Joe Parker and Steve Jones) are acting as the Project Manager and Employer’s Agent, and have also been appointed for the associated external/public realm works and the adjacent office block (known as The Spark). This is due to start on-site within 9 months, creating total office space on excess of 200,000sq ft.

Potter Raper Partnership is committed to their employees, the local community and sustaining the local environment. In our CSR policy we aim to illustrate the areas of business that we target in order to maximise our employee satisfaction, limit the effect we have on the environment and enhance the local environment by providing services and funding for the community. We believe that by taking a greater responsibility for the effect we have on the environment and ensuring that we work in a manner that takes the local community into consideration, we will actively reduce the impact we, our clients and suppliers have on our surroundings.
